Art Teacher 2 Go
I'm a mobile and virtual art teacher in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I bring the art studio to you!
I wear a lot of hats these days. I am the Director of Education at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center. I teach art to individuals and groups, and I teach grades K-12 at the Williamsburg Classical Academy. For more info on my spring classes at WCA please click this link:
I follow COVID-19 guidelines (wearing a mask indoors, social distancing, and teaching outdoors when possible).
Individual and Group Art Lessons

When you schedule a class, I'll tailor the lesson(s) to fit the student's needs and abilities. I love teaching all visual arts media--especially 3D art. I also enjoy making math, science, and social studies more engaging through arts integration.
Virtual Art Classes
Materials List Provided
When you schedule a virtual class for you or your loved one, I'll design a class that engages even the youngest artist! Materials can be shipped for an additional fee.
Proof of Growth Letters for Homeschool Students
If you homeschool in VA and choose not to have your child take part in standardized testing, you'll need an evaluation of adequate growth and progress by a licensed educator each year. I am licensed by the VDOE as a Classroom Teacher and a Visual Arts Teacher. Appointments for evaluations will fill quickly in the spring, please set up yours now. Virtual appointments are available.
Community and School Events
Fun Art Activities for All Ages
I love designing an art activity themed to a school or community event. I've designed and managed community art projects such as sand mandalas, assemblage-making, printmaking, mudcloth-making, batik-making, paper crafting, collaborative painting, and more!
I've been an educator for more than 25 years. During that time, I've interpreted history in costume for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, taught elementary school for NNPS, and served as the Director of Education at the Penninsula Fine Arts Center. I'm passionate about making art accessible, engaging, and relatable to people of all ages and abilities. I absolutely love teaching art and creating arts-related programming for families, schools, museums, and other organizations.
I am a licensed classroom teacher for grades PreK - 6 and am a licensed visual arts teacher for grades K - 12. I've worked extensively with children and adults with special needs and those who are non-English speakers.
I've lived on the Peninsula for almost 30 years. I love spending time with my family, teaching and making art, gardening, and getting outdoors as much as possible! If I'm not teaching, you'll find me making art or exploring Virginia with my children.
